Something extraordinary has happened in Sotogrande: a beach has come to the hills of La Reserva and adjoins its excellent golf course. Plus, it is the first and only private beach in Spain.
The sand has been brought from the beautiful beaches of Cádiz and it is the first time that a man-made lagoon has a full sandy bottom. Visitors can experience the pleasure of lying on an elegant lounger by the lagoon’s clear and clean waters, with full waiter service on hand to keep all guests refreshed. There is also, quite remarkably, 2,800m2 of sandy beach, making it both a safe and fun environment for families with children. Having said that, The Beach is a welcoming environment for everyone; you don’t need to have children to want to spend the day here.
The full service beachfront restaurant and bar is an ideal location for relaxing and socialising, although it can also double as a business meeting point and offers the perfect ambience to conclude any negotiation.
A healthy menu for everyone
The restaurant offers a light and refreshing menu with a range of carefully planned lunchtime buffet and à la carte dishes, all made from natural, organic ingredients. The executive chef deliberately set out to create a menu that matches the stylishly informal and sociable setting, and has used a touch of Andalucía combined with influences from global gastronomy to meet a wide range of tastes and dietary requirements. He also takes into account that young palates are quite different to mature ones, so there will be a lot more than just chips to tempt the kids.
Children and adults can both have fun
And, with families in mind, The Beach even has a kids club. While they are busy playing under professional supervision, adults can enjoy their own luxurious swimming pool and exclusive pool deck overlooking the adjoining sports lagoon, and cocktail bar. Water sport lovers will be delighted by the sports lagoon where they can enjoy activities ranging from kayak and paddle boards to SUP boards and Mirage Eclipse water bikes. No engines are allowed on the water to preserve the tranquillity for guests.
Beachwear and pamper treatments
Furthermore, if you arrive to find you have forgotten an important item, there is an elegant boutique stocking fashionable beachwear and accessories, as well as other practical items for a day by the water. A range of pampering treatments is also on offer, including even yoga classes in the water.
